Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.
This year I chose a fresh word to follow and mine is “Rooted”, I encourage you to find your word for the year follow this link to take the quiz a find yours. https://www.dayspring.com/yourwordquiz. In my fiction writing I write about a communitee in my real home state of Indiana, charactors are semi based on the peronalities of people around me. What does this have to do with “Rooted” I have been a Gods Girl for some time now but I haven’t always let Gods word take root in my heart, like all of us I am perfectly imprefect and sometime that phrase is really brought home to me.
Last year was a hard one for most of us , the first part was a season of being shut in by Covid until finally we were able to get out again, in that season of being shut in we were rooted in one place and I feel more of us sought after God in those moments, than after we no longer has to stay in, mask came off and people refreshed their live to a new norma. Covid was a lesson of getting back to our roots , to spending time as a family, renewing relationships and fully trusting God and his word.
Last season was hard for many but I don’t want to forget the lessons it has taught me, to trust God for the out come and to be Rooted in his word, to hide it in my heart so it can take root and grow in Gods love and give me strength.
